supply list

  • 140lb Watercolor paper or substrate of your choice
  • Assorted brushes
  • White gel pen or white paint pen
  • Scissors
  • Old credit card to help flatten out papers when gluing
  • Pens and pencils you enjoy mark making with
  • Glue of your choice
  • Gather pieces of ephemera, journal pages, Napkins, magazine cutouts, and anything else you would like to use. The ingredients are endless!
  • Assorted acrylic paints

I wanted to provide you some great resources for collage materials to help kick-start the process...

  • Unsplash Portrait Collection (Unsplash is a great resource for copyright free images of not just people but all sorts of great collage imagery. Here is my Portrait gallery to get your started.
  • Vintage Paper Sellers on Etsy.com (Etsy.com is a fantastic place to order amazing vintage ephemera to collage with! Just a warning...it's addictive! ;)
  • The Graphics Fairy (The Graphics Fairy has been around for ages and she continues to bring us plenty of vintage images to collage with! Many are available for free! Check her out!

I hope this gets you started on your collage journey but remember to look around your house for resources too! Catalogues, newspapers and old magazines and the perfect (and free) way to begin!
